a little story for this pic…the wall was located in an abandoned fabric and 3 of us guys scrubbed off the wall and were just finishing the first coat of white wash on the wall. Suddenly the police appeared and asked for our ids. We told them some fake names and the police went outside to check the data. this was our time to disappear through the rear exit.
later that evening we returned to pick up our cans and stuff. coming into that room we saw the red splatter and the sentence “Kunst ist tot” “Art is dead” in the chair.Creepy cool ;)
Never found out if the pissed off police or some other guys did it, but always liked the action. We returned a couple of days later to put on a second coat of primer and some fresh graffiti afterwards. Good old Güldenhaus times in 1998
